Quagliarella joins Juve on loan

08/27/2010 - Turin, Italy (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Juventus announced on Friday that the club has signed Italy international striker Fabio Quagliarella on loan from Napoli.

Juve will pay Napoli $5.8 million to take Quagliarella on loan for the upcoming season, with an opportunity to make the deal permanent for $13.5 million at the end of the campaign.

The 27-year-old Quagliarella has earned 22 caps for Italy and scored five goals, including one in Italy's 3-2 defeat against Slovakia at this past summer's World Cup.

Quagliarella joins Milos Krasic, Jorge Martinez, Simone Pepe and Davide Lanzafame among the new arrivals in Turin in the hopes that the team can improve upon its seventh-place finish from last season.
